Chinese news on Jeremy Lin

Saw this yesterday: "Jeremy Lin scored 21 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals against the Nets. That's almost like a Triple Double."

I guess losing 100-92 is almost like a victory too.

According to our news, you'd think Staudamire and Carmelo are the scrubs. Now I know they're not necessarily playing like the status they command, but still.

I don't like these news because they don't go enough in the homer scale, so it just looks bad. Some people on the ESPN forums was asking what's the all time NBA winning streak because Knicks are going to win every game since Linsanity started. I always respect guys who are willing to make a bold prediction, even if they're never around after it fails. The guys who predicted Heats going 82-0 last year at least are willing to make an (easily) falsifiable claim.

Looks like Lin-sanity is dying down a little since the shellacking at Miami. I feel as if now that teams have a scouting report on him that he wont be as effective, but obviously no on you should forget about. The talking heads say he has lots of talent, like the Tom Brady of the NBA.

I got the feeling teams particularly trying to stop probably overreacting because if you trap someone deep or double them that just opens up players open elsewhere. New York does have good players elsewhere too so it's not say if you stop Kobe or LeBron you know all the other guys are a lot worse so you don't worry about them. The rules in NBA today do favor dribble penetration so giving up a bunch of points to a fast guard isn't anything unusual. Just ask the Lakers.
