These are the people you elect and give power too...you'd only want them to stop talking if you believe burying your head in the sand is an effective form of escapism.
To be honest, I don't care if you ruin your own country...but please oppose any effort from your government to coerce or intimidate Canada / Canadian Politics. That way, you can still cross the border when you want some harmless pot, a gay marriage and, probably not in this order, an arbortion.

Is R-Money losing any ground because of this? Are there people with their arms up in the air saying "WHAT THE FUCK?!?"? Do we see a "For all that is holy and good in this world, make sure these Tea Party neanderthals don't get voted into office" Facebook page? Is this related to the only thing that matters when people vote, the economy?
Nope. Exactly the opposite, actually, as R-Money has, miraculously, turned this into a close race regardless of how his fellow Republicans (and himself) keep shooting themselves in the foot with their idiot comments and the efforts of the Democrats to keep bring it up. If that's the case, people who care about other people in their society might be a minority down there.
Sorry, man, I'll have to go with Kali on this one. You live in a veiled democracy and if your fellow Americans are too fucking stupid/naive/brainwashed to vote for them or too lazy to get off their asses to vote for not them in the swing states and ridings where a handful of votes truly can make a difference, ain't much you can do (we'll assume for a second that people who want to vote are actually allowed to even though that's a myth in many places). Either live with it or move out of the country. Just, please, don't fuck our country up, it's already fucked up enough

It's another seat the democrats will almost certainly win back so if they still want to keep spewing the most uneducated, abhorrent shit from their mouths let them do it. Religious radicalism has no place in our politics, especially the shit that isolates every rational thinking human being in the country.
Couple days after Romney shot a campaign ad for the man, too.
Also no one cares about our foreign policy/infuence with Canada. Y'all are on your own.

Is that a proposition

We're a generation or two from this no longer being an issue hopefully. More and more young people are seeing themselves as non-religious.

Not really a fair comparison, Westboro baptist church is insane, even by insane religious standards

My first time voting was for John Kerry.
So fuck that video makes me depressed. At least I got to vote for gay marriage in GA on the same ballot but ugh.

Yeah, I was about to say that, as well as showing a pro-gay church on the Canada side. They are out there, but even in Canada, that's not the norm.

Well, the United Church of Canada isn't just some fringe church, it is by far the largest Protestant denomination in Canada; and it isn't as though this is just some rare occurrence either - as the leader of the denomination is openly gay.
I will concede the Westboro church as being an outlier even among the most evil of American Churches =P
