In short, the BBC conducted a poll around the world taking an average of just over 1000 people from 21 different countries (total of 21,797 people). Obama is favoured by what looks to be an average of more than 5 to 1 around the world.... Obama was preferred heavily in 20 out of the 21 countries polled, the nation that preferred Romney was Pakistan, for whatever reason, Pakistan likes Romney =P

The sad thing is that out of the 4 main people aiming for leading the party, that Romney seemed the most moderate and sane.

A nuclear weapons capable Iran translates to a huge problem for Pakistan. Romney willing to invade sooner than Obama probably appeals to them. I imagine that's why they like him more. Obama favors cooperation while Romney favors acting like a bully. Acting like a bully seems like the thing to do if you're the one in power, it's just Americans don't really think of it that way. They look it as if we don't throw our weight around, then we're going to lose footing. They don't see how us bullying other countries around is going to totally fuck us over in the future.

As long as we can throw our weight around we're not really going to see any consequences on this particular issue other than being hated when we go to foreign countries for vacation. Luckily most of us are either too poor or don't give a fuck about going to foreign countries.

Still baffles me =P

Well, I think it was pretty clear that it was a huge mistake to vote that guy back in.

I don't think anyone in Pakistan would find that a problem as the two nations are fairly close politically - Iran is even represented by Pakistani diplomats. The only major problem they had was when Iran was on the brink of war with the Taliban ruled Afghanistan back in the 90's. While Romney did score better than Obama in Pakistan, there were still 86% of the respondents who did not support Romney =P

Yeah you're right I wasn't thinking about it that way. The danger from a nuclear Iran comes more from having an insecure nuclear player in the region who could potentially get Pakistan blown up.
