For better or worse, remember that this is the democracy you cherish and don't ever wanna live without, no matter how much you may disagree with the results.

At 86.3%, there won't be much of a surprise of what the outcome will be.

Also, nobody is arguing to not have a democracy. In fact, the assholes that have been trying to block the vote should be hung for treason. Kings have been beheaded for less.

Encouraging voter apathy in the opposing population is one thing but the fuckheads coming up with ways to dick people out of their votes do indeed deserve bad things.

Seriously. Beheadings. Stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price.

So let's see you hold them accountable over the next few years

Right because I can hold Pennsylvania's shitty state representatives to the fire because I'm in the same country as them? Or am I meant to travel round the country magically pulling decent democrats out of my ass?

I'm going to be outnumbered in my state by whites who vote 70-90% republican every year regardless of who the candidate is for at least the next 10 years.

Something like 80% of the whites in my state voted for McCain, to give you an idea. Really the only reason for me to vote today is to get another person on the popular vote count for Obama and to show them that some day hopefully soon my state won't be so stubbornly Republican. Also there's other stuff on the ballot (for my state) that would be ridiculous to pass. And a congressman who has a slight chance of winning and would actually represent my state kind of well.

Grassroots movements gotta start somewhere....

Isn't PEN considered a Democrat state? Or are you referring to your specific district?

Oh, I just have so little effect on who gets to be in office and what goes on in Pennsylvania that it almost may as well be in Spain. Voter laws are by state and you have to be a resident to affect them.
