Its invention roots lay in the same place where all 4 of the North American major team sports' invention roots lay: Canada. Specifically, Beachville, ON

Let's see how long it takes for them to put up the Ontario exhibit in the Cooperstown :-)

Wasn't the first recorded game, like, one hundred years prior in England?

I'm not sure anyone really cares.

Canada, actually, with a semblance of the current rules. St. Mary's, Ontario, if I'm not mistaken. I believe that's why the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is there. But the book says Beachville and I haven't read it.

Eric, tons of people care, just not the 17 people here. America's game and all. And I love Cooperstown. It's an incredibly beautiful place and I'd love to visit again someday. They just need to re-write the history to make it a little more accurate, that's all :-)

I care because you care Zeus!

(Disclaimer, I don't follow baseball at all x_x)

I used to work for a place that claimed to be the birth of the cheeseburger. Not the burger, but putting cheese on the burger. To be honest, I didn't really believe them, and even if I did:

(The place closed down about 5+ years ago, because the mgmt sucked. Good riddens.)
