The worst part of being a pet owner is the fact you can't explain to them why they're sick; moreover, they never really know why that last car ride isn't the fun and games it seems to be.

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>The first rat died about 2-3 months ago. Same problem. I opted to cancel out of the vet trip, since I thought he was going to die soon, anyway. But, he just sat there in his "death bed" I created for him, and every time I passed that room, he was still breathing and slowly going cold. That smell of death just lingering. I think he took several days to die. I felt real guilty about that.
I'm going to try to take my rat to the vet today.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt georgia; text-align: left; '>Being an only child, Taffy was one of the few things that kept me going thru tough times. When my parents divorced, I hated them, and had no friends in a new town. She wasnt just a dog, she seemed like she was half human.
Ive always had a dog. After she died, and I was living on my own, a friend gave me a dog she was trying to get rid of because he was too feisty. I kept him for a while, but it was hard taking care of a dog when you live by yourself in an apt. SO I left him with my mom who lives in the country now, and they fell in love with him. He got hit by a car last year.
I really miss having a dog, but we rent a house right now, and cant have one. Our lease is up in September, and we're going to try and buy a house. Ill be at the Humane Society the day after we move in :)</div>
