Mother Fucking Tea Party ruining my trip

So I've got tickets to go to the Crown at the Statue of Liberty on Monday, had them since early August. Because of this bullshit government shutdown, the Statue will be closed if the government is still in shutdown mode. So, unless they miraculously figure it out between now and then, I'm gonna miss out....again (last two times I was there it was closed).

Assmunches. I've been waiting for a decade to go up that thing. I waited and waited and got the tickets the second they were available and now I'm getting fucked.

Yeah, it's fucking retarded. And for no reason. It's not like the Tea Party isn't gonna be negatively affected by this in the congressional elections next year. They're just destroying themselves.....why the fuck do I have to suffer?

Well, I can at least do all of my other sightseeing shit without it being affected. And it's not like Comic Con is gonna be cancelled 'cause of those backwards, white hicks.

Yes, the GOP implosion has been really goddamn epic. It's just sad that it's taken this far to (hopefully) get the public to realize this. (And it's going to take a while before we can oust these fucktards out of office.)

I'm 100x more worried about the debt ceiling. Something close to the end times is near if we don't get that dealt with quickly. The world cannot handle another economic collapse right now.

Well, we got skunked at City Hall too. Some fucking press conference going on or something. But we made it to Hook and Ladder 8 (Ghostbusters HQ), walked the Brooklyn Bridge, ate at both Grimaldi's and Katz's, toured The Met, Rockefeller Centre, Nintendo World, Top of the Rock, Coney Island, ate at Nathan's Famous and Totonno's, and the Spiderman musical....all in the first 2 1/2 days.

Of course, that also entailed about 20-25 km (14-17 miles or so) of walking (we're staying in an apartment right behind the Empire State Building) so today is a rest day. Still got 4 days of Comic Con to go :-)
