The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • Everytime something happens to the shrine, I swear I imagine Sine as some mad scientist trying out his newest invention. :P "Everyone calm down, it's just Dr. Sine trying out one of his new script gizmos!"

  • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

(It did badly need some upgrading...the OS was still at RH7, and I was wondering how to upgrade the crypto libraries. A week later, they announce this, and I get a nice box with RH9 and Apache 2.)</div>

I installed in on my laptop (dual with XP) with no problems. It even went and downloaded the Nvidia driver for me at the end of the install.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>We have several SuSE servers at work. It's really nice. I seem to favor it over Mandrake now. I keep hearing good things about Gentoo, too. (BTW, I can't really change my OS on my VPS.)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>Might be worthwhile to try 9.1, it has the 2.6 kernel which has better support for things in general.</div>
