Check out "God's Debris: A Thought Experiment" by Scott Adams( also known as the guy who created Dilbert).  Interesting book.  It's tiny (like 99 pages) and worth buying.  Apparently, this guy typed up the whole thing =>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I read through about half of it, and lost interest because it is the grandest straw man setup I've ever witnessed. Watching the old guy continuously get set up to give smart-ass answers got old.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>A delivery boy drops by some old guy's house to deliver a package, and it turns out that this old guy knows just about everything and proceeds to blow the delivery boy's mind by describing how the universe and god work.

The boy's set up as if he never thought deeply about a lot of philisophical questions, and now that he's kicking it with this geezer, he's now suddenly inspired to think about these questions he's never previously cared about.

The author describes it as a thought experiment, which I suppose it is, but it's looks to be a rather lackluster experiment to say the least.

To be fair, I've only read the first half so the second half could be somewhat more interesting. But to be honest, the first half was nothing but watching the author set up strawman after strawman for the old guy to tear down and look smart.</div>

I actually thought it did a great job of looking at nearly all possible angles of every issue they brought up and examining each one...but that's just me...</div>
