Kerry's speech last night was pretty good.  It was on par with, if not better than Clinton's and Obama's speeches.

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>Kerry, unlike the other candidates wasn't afraid to criticize president Bush.

I liked this quote quite a bit:

"I will be a commander in chief who will never mislead us into war. I will have a vice president who will not conduct secret meetings with polluters to rewrite our environmental laws. I will have a secretary of defense who will listen to the best advice of our military leaders. And I will appoint an attorney general who actually upholds the Constitution of the United States."

I liked what he said about energy independence, but I wish he would expanded a little more on it.
Also, he didn't really talk enough about what he's planning on doing in Iraq if/when he becomes president.

By the way, if you didn't catch the speech, don't worry. President Bush didn't either:

<i>Bush, who aides said slept rather than watch his rival's Democratic nomination acceptance speech to run against him in November, defended his actions in Iraq and warned: "If America shows uncertainty or weakness in this decade, the world will drift toward tragedy. This will not happen on my watch."</i>
