<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Bush is re-elected. My state votes for him.
We lose 5 senate seats. My entire state votes for Republican seats.
We lose 30 house seats. My entire state votes for Republican seats.
An anti-gay marriage amendment is passed in 11 states, including my own. It gets passed 75/25 over here, and even wider margins in other states.
The most conservative judge on the Supreme Court, who happens to be the lead judge and was voted by Nixon in the early 70's, will probably die while Bush is in power.
All the while Peak Oil will probably hit in the next couple of years, causing the largest economic crash the world could ever possibly imagine.

Can anything get any worse? I'm not even a Democrat. I think the party is weak on a lot of issues, and I think it's not even liberal enough for me. So, when I go out to the polls, I'm already compromising my ideals. I think I've lost ever since I started voting, with the sole exception of Clinton's 2nd term, and I lost all of the Congressional races that year anyway. I can't even vote for a party that sorta agree with. I could have easily just looked at the polls (which they take almost every hour of every day), see that everything was going to lose, and gone to bed. Hell, even with the "man and a woman" amendment, I just need to ask "Gee, does a vast majority of the population hate gays?" Oh, yeah...I fucking forgot that we've retroed back to the 1960's. People still can't grasp this concept of "black minorities" today, so never mind even trying to teach them tolerance (or better yet, acceptance) of gays.

The human race is fucking doomed. It refuses to grown up from its internal shell. It refuses to learn from its mistakes. It refuses to try to understand that which is unknown. It refuses to educate itself for the sake of knowledge. Frankly, I'm tired of trying to push it to do otherwise. It's too late. We're too late. The best we can do is enjoy life for the fleeting moments we have left...</div>
