Martin is still taking his time, i visit his website regulary. It always happens this way, an author will churn out books and faithful readers will love him for it, then he gets famous and the next book takes a million years.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Pillars of Creation is either my favorite or second favorite in the series to date. As I said though, it does not focus on Richard, it is a different character in the same world (one who was mentioned in an earlier book actually). Many of the characters from the previous book make appearances in it, and the events set in place in previous books are still moving along. Goodkinds style is different though, he's not writing one huge novel like Jordan, he is writing several different books which each examine different societies and cultures in his world.

I loved Martin's first two books, but for some reason I lost enjoyment of the whole series fairly early on in the third book, the plot just seamed to be too unfocussed (falling into the same trap as Jordan did in later titles, or from what I hear of Jordan's later titles). I still have faith that the next title in the series could be the greatest one yet. I think Martin may be taking his time on this latest one because the last one was certainly rushed.

I'm generally open minded about literature, but I still think Martin is a perv =P</div>
