<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I like King...but only in short story format. I think his books just are too damned long and he goes on and on about crap. When he writes short stories and gets to the point, he's excellent. The Stand is 1200 pages........can't imagine him not going off on many tangents...</div>

Whenever I hear news reports of this, I imagine it being the beginning of some story. The entire world is wrapped up in a war, while The Worst Disease Ever slowly kills people off.

<div style='font: 11pt "Fine Hand"; text-align: left; '>Stephen King goes on and on about crap? The Stand may have been the last King book I read but I don't recall him going on extreme tangents like Tolkien or Crichton. Most authors go on tangents anyway.</div>
