<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>You know what I found to be the case after working in tech support for a year was that the people who hated the customers were the ones who were usually the least knowledgeble and the most socially inept.</div>

I'm skeptical about most, and this one, I agree with the customer:

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '><i>The guy who got upset at me because the USB cable didn't come with the printer. He didn't figure this out until he unpacked it despite the large letters saying "USB Cable Not Included" on the outside of the packaging. "So that's how you do business?" he asked. "I've got half a mind to just take this thing back! And you're charging me for this phone call!" "I'm not charging you a penny, sir. Your long-distance company is." "Well, you're making me pay. Most decent companies have 800 numbers."</i>

The guy had no right to get upset with technical support, but I do think his complaint with the company is justified. Yes, it says so on the box, but this is a new phenomenon. When people buy a printer, they expect to be able to <i>use</i> the printer without having to buy anything else. I think this is a reasonable assumption, and I don't fault someone for being surprised to find out this is not the case. Many people won't know what a USB cable is.

And yeah, a tech help line should be free.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt georgia; text-align: left; '>Nah, I didnt think you were :) Theres a difference in someone who gets pissed because a customer doesnt know how to configure a router, and a customer that says unplugging the cable modem from the electricity/power is too technical for them.</div>
