Feature suggestion

I don't like having to go back to the main forum index to go to the other forums. However, a simple pull down menu like we used to have would lose the indicator of which forums have new posts. So I think it would be good to have the forums listed on the top and bottoms of each page somewhere, along with the appropriate "All Read"/"New Posts" graphics.

Agreed.

That's a great idea. I always used the frames version of the original site so I could switch easily.

I think listing them in a smaller font with some kind of graphic to indicate new posts would be nice.

D'oh. There is a jump to pull down menu, but it's only at the bottom. I often don't scroll down that far - I'll stop when I can see the Preview and Submit buttons. But I think keeping the status indication in some way would be nice.

I agree. And I'd like it at the top also if it's possible to work it into the style of the pages.

My suggestion...

A suggestion that I'd like to make is that there be some feature to hide message bodies and just view subjects, like in the old Shrine. This would make it much easier to look through the messages without having to read each and every one.

I don't mind the lack of a menu that much, but the addition of one would be nice.

In this format, people really don't use the subject much inside of a thread.

I think I'm going to implement some style (ie: template) changes to make it look a bit more like Invision Board. They seem to have their shit together, but alas it's a pay board. The changes aren't too much, but little niceities like having a Fast Reply (with a button that toggles the display on and off), as well as the Jump To on both the top and bottom.
