I don't think there's anything wrong with doing what she did - if the kid is curious, then it's good to fuel that. But I think the key thing is to follow it up with "Don't do this on your own."

Wasn't that on FARK yesterday?
Not an attack on you Shelly, just that I get pissed off in the morning when our local morning show blatantly rips stories off of FARK for it's 'Whacky World News' segment and tried to pawn it off as stuff they found themselves.
Rant over, the story was pretty funny.
Back to my little cave now.

Just don't click on the Weeners or Boobies links!
You found this on Google News?

That happens a lot with my local rock station. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt; they could've found those sites anywhere. But it's hard when their daily material coincides with Fark's updates. It's even worse when they steal the headline.
But then again, it's possible that they do give Fark credit, just when I'm not listening. I remember a few years back one DJ credited Drudge Report as his "wacky" news source.

Nobody ever credits FARK. It's a well-known fact over there that DJs are lame and steal their headlines all the time. Thank you for reminding me why I don't listen to shitty morning DJ talk shows. I'd much prefer NPR.
