Basically, it was the whole election and certain people's reactions to his replies (which ALWAYS seemed to be a joke, a jab at someone, or sarcastic) that made him finally pack up and go.

I personally never objected to him, even when he was being a jackass. He brought colour to the Shrine. I don't really miss him that much though either. I've noticed that others have posted dramatically more since his departure.

I liked him, but he could be a real jerk, and he was too sensitive. If I've developed one thing in the millions of years that I've been posting here, it's a thick skin.

I guess this is the sort of thing I missed by avoiding Rum like the plague.

Was it fallout from Ruminations? I actually can't remember the specifics anymore. G-Man had another tiff with Sine, and I think he expected us to take his side, but we didn't.

I believe it was one of those DS conversations that snowballed into a Rum topic. Then pretty much what Kup said.

I never got into it with G-Man very often, actually. I wasn't even posting regularly at the time he left.

I'm partial, but I don't miss the guy. He always found a way to hijack a decent conversation into some big joke. And his "Insult the Comic Dog" routine wasn't even that funny. He wasn't really here to contribute, and only made the place more hostile.

Now, it would be nice of Esque and AK404 would quit lurking all the time :P I still don't understand why we don't have any vistors. Then again, if somebody is looking for a message board to post, there are millions of them out there, so I guess it's a matter of "saturation".
