First off, I got fired today from my job at Gamestop. Dont wanna go into details but it was a huge paperwork fuckup that cost the company about $900 dollars, so now I am looking for a new job. I have to find one soon too, otherwise I will have to lose my appartment and move back in with my parrents which is not a very attractive option to me.
Second, I found out today that my good friend David had a heart attack yesterday. He is in the hospital right now. I havent really heard any details yet. Damnit.
And now because of a combination of both fo these things, it is quarter to 4 in the morning, I have class at 8 am, and I cant sleep.
And to think that just a week ago I was really optimistic about the future............should have known better.

That sucks, man.
Sorry to hear about the job and the friend.
I can't imagine what kind of paperwork mistake could cost $900. Stuff happens, you know? It just means that you're better off somewhere else.
I hope it works out. Just keep going and you'll be alright. And we're always here for a conversation.

Man, thats BS. Like a company like Gamestop cant afford $900 bucks when it was probably an honest mistake. That makesme mad that they fired you over such a immaterial amount.
Dont worry, though, you'll get through it and it will all work out for the best, you'll see!

That's fucked up, Big Daddy. $900 ain't no big deal. And at the end of the day, if they're gonna let you go over something so petty, you're probably better off not being there. You want my suggestion? Go to the EB that's closest (their rival) and get a job there. You're qualified, still doin' the same thing you love, and you'll stick them in the ass :-)
I'm under the assumption that your friend is about your age. Either way, that's fucked up shit. I just hope it was mild and he can recover properly.
I'll try and catch you online this weekend
Good luck

Hey man, I'm pretty sure that you can find a job as well paying as GameStop. If that's all you need to get by then you're pretty lucky!
I'll admit though, it is fairly hard to find a decent job in St. Louis when you're a college student. Now I've graduated and I'm a fat cat working at SBC so I don't have to worry about that anymore though!.

I am considering it. I am also looking at Best Buy in their electronics department, as i have 2 years sales experience at Sears.

He is 28, so yeah only a few years older than me. I found out today he is home and going to be seeing various specialists all week.

Actually I had a management position that was full time, $9.50 an hour, and willing to work around my school schedule. It isnt gonna be easy to replace.
I also wanna thank everyone for their concern. It means a lot to me.
