My new hero: The Mayor of Las Vegas...

Mayor Oscar Goodman said he was just being himself when he told elementary school students that drinking was one of his hobbies and that the one thing he would want if stranded on an island is a bottle of gin...
"I answered the question honestly and truthfully," Goodman told reporters. "I'm not going to lie to children. I'm not going to say I would take a teddy bear or a Bible or something like that."
I'm starting a personal campaign to bring this guy over to California and run for governor with a possible bid for the next presidential election. My life now has a purpose and it feels great.

Is this one of the signs of the apocalypse? An honest politician?

Asked by a reporter if he had a drinking problem, Goodman answered, "Oh, absolutely not. I love to drink."
Bwahahahahaha!

Classic stuff. I personally think he should be talking to elementary school kids all over the country.

Vote for someone who actually has the decency NOT to lie about various things so he can get his own way. I don't know though, there are a lot of stupid people in the world, that's why I don't think Democracy will ever work. I like a guy who is willing to admit these things though, I don't think he'll have any real major influence on the kids, when they're old enough to drink, they can make their own decisions. Do parents honestly believe that the kids will be like "Well, ten years ago the mayor drank a lot of booze and loved it. I'm not a drunk because Daddy likes it! It's the mayor!"
