Yikes. Eight hours, right? The CS GRE subject test was only four hours, and by the end of that I had already stopped caring.

Anyway, I hope it goes well.

Well, if you can live through the dedication it takes to become a doctor, with the amount of brain-stuffing of facts, 24/7 hours at a hospital, stress-inducing work, etc., I'm sure you'll do fine with that. :)

Of course, that depends on if you're going to become a surgeon or an administrative clerk. (MCAT is for a wide range of careers, right?)

Hope you did okay. That's one long ass test. I don't even get 8 hours of sleep a day.

The MCAT is required for admission to medical school, from which one (hopefully) receives an MD. So, no.

Well, there are a lot of medical specialties.

Long and tough. Much tougher then practice tests. Physical was challenging, verbal was really damned hard, and Bio wasn't bad. I'm just glad to be done.

I considered that, but a wide range of specialities is different than a wide range of careers.

Congrats on being done. What is the med school application process like?

Starting in June, you fill out an AMCAS application (centralized app system), they take your Letters, transcripts, etc, and send your app to all schools you indicate. Almost every med school participates in it. Afterwards, after a brief pre-screening, they send you a secondary app, mainly with essays, then you send that back (all of this with fees, of course). If they like you, they ask for interview, then you're accepted or not. It will cost me WAY too much money.
