Hey guys, when you post links these days, can you make sure to post long ones using either the phpBB "URL" construct or the HTML "a href" stuff?

Long links are treated as one word and they don't wrap, thus stretching out the whole thread (and bringing back the dreaded horizontal scroll bar), and it's a real pain in the fscking ass to have to horizontally scroll back and forth on every post.

Sure thing. Would using the URL link in the message box work though also? Or do we still need to do HTML?

Well, it's a matter of using the [url] code to enclose the URL with a title. Otherwise, you get very long URLs that stretch for a while, when it could have been avoided with a title on the URL. Just pasting the URL wouldn't fix this problem, because you're not putting a title on it. It's just as easy to do:

{url=http://www.blahblah.com/longurl#$@#5235 ... 4}Hey{/url}
(Replace {} with [], of course)
