Anyone feel like registering so they can see if he was dumb enough to put any contact information in his bio? This looks like a Spanish hacking forum. Mental, you speak decent Spanish, no?

F***ing annoying loser.
I know a bit of Spanish (I'm still learning this one, but it is a very easy language), it does not look like they are talking about anything relevent though.

I know a little bit as well, but what I wanted was for Mental to say whether or not it was a board where wanna-be hackers hang out. From what I can tell, it is, which would increase the liklihood that it's the same guy.

Yeah, phpBB has patches, like, often.

Yeah, phpBB has patches annoyingly often. I was extremely pissed when I submitted my User Posting Styles patch and it was rejected because they just put in TWO FUCKING RELEASES in the span of time it took to submit it and have them look at it. And between then, they put in two more. Fucking annoying, especially when a lot of them are security flaw patches. I hadn't downloaded them because I thought they were putting out the patches in the same format as the MODs: go here, find this text, replace with, then go here, save this file, etc., etc. Ends up that they really are using diff patch files, so it's a lot easier than I thought. (If only they did that with their MODs.)
I barely consider this a hack as the only thing changed was some minor defacement. Easily fixed. His IP is "229.red-80-58-192.pooles.rima-tde.net", btw. Stupid idiot doesn't even bother to mask it. I am soooo 31337! Probably a group of wannabe script kiddies. Any real hacker would SSH into some hacked boxes a few times and actually get into my server.

If you decide to switch back to the old forum for security reasons, I would not object :-)

It's definitely a Spanish hacking forum, though honestly I'm not much better with Spanish slang than you guys are. I'm not sure what "timos" means, but somehow I doubt Google's translation of "thymuses" is accurate. LOL...
But given that the site is called "ForoHack.com" ("Hacking Forum"), and that the boards are on "Hacking", "PreHacking", and "Trojans and Viruses", I feel we're more or less safe in making that assumption. Sine, it's your board (<i>Mental feels pangs of nostalgia</i>), and it's up to you what you want to do with it, but I really vote that you/we report this to his ISP in all ways possible. Maybe it's just because I live where I do right now, but I'm really tired of stupid ghetto criminal idiots and would like to do something about it.
If you need someone to call his ISP who can speak Spanish, I'll volunteer. Did you save any of the defaced boards?

I'm not really worried about it. I don't work in the Abuse dept, but I'm pretty close to it, and if the ISP actually cares about it, they would probably just block the customer until he says that he's not going to do it any more. And some ISPs don't give a shit, especially from complaints in other countries in a language they may or may not speak.
