<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I am optimistically hoping to be offered a job at UPS where I have been an intern for a year. I just met with HR and the way she was talking, I will be offered the position in a QA Test Group to replace the girl who left. It's actually the test group I've been an intern with so I'm a perfect candidate considering I'm already trained, etc.

How are salaries looking for straight-out-of-college IT professionals? I talked to someone here and she said she would expect(depending on what title they hire me as) anywhere from $40k to $45k. I'm happy to accept those offers, personally. Where can I find the industry standard/average?</div>

Without reading your post: whatever they offer.

<div style='font: 11pt georgia; text-align: left; '>Like Kupek said, whatever they offer :) Youre lucky to even get a good IT job :)</div>

Anywhere from $30 to 47 K a year is the range of average starting salaries for someone fresh out of college with a Bachelors... but it's not really how much you make at your first job that's important, it's what you do and the fact that you get experience

<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>QA testing isn't that great of a field to get into from what I've heard... but definitely don't turn them down unless you get another solid job offer from somewhere else.</div>

However, I'd at least interview with other people unless you are totally in love with QA Testing with UPS...</div>

Well, QA is such a huge part of the process here...

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>that it's a great job. I definately enjoy it and I want to work here. I just don't want to let the fact that I like it so much and that it's difficult to find a job at the moment cause me to accept something lower than I should be offered. I'm hoping to get into development in the future, and if I intend to pursue development here at UPS, getting into the test group is a gread foundational experience for that.</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I'm not really sure who else to interview with. Even the career placement at my school(which has been great in years past) has nothing of interest. It's quite crappy. Luckily, I really like this job so I'd be happy to work here.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>UPS is a fantastic company. They have been on the move the last few years an have taken considerable market share away from FedEx. I would defenitely accept. From what i hear in NoVa you need to lower your expectations, the range is probably 35-40 since there is so much supply over demand.</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>They're definately a great company. I love working here. Everyone who is full-time loves their benefits and options and stuff so I'm taking that into consideration too,.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Times New Roman"; text-align: left; '>Thats an excellent starting salary...its what you're worth. The market is pretty horrid right now, and unless you get something higher(doubtful), I would take that in a second.</div>
