...he didn't check beforehand if his itinerary actually made smooth connections all the way from point A to point B?

If Orbitz doesn't provide the information that's one thing, and yeah, that's shitty customer service, but I'm not sure he's entirely faultless in this either.

This is true, I mean, I'm attempting to book an international flight for when I go to Japan in 6 months, but seriously, this is kinda ridiculous. But places like that get really finicky about changing itineraries. Natsumi almost ran into that problem on booking her flight back to Japan this time. Now she's gone, and I'm sad sad sad.

I will definitely keep this in mind though as I try to book my flight though.

Well, considering that Orbitz is pretty much a travel agency, that would be the job of Orbitz to make sure that he'll have a smooth flight plan. Also, it was pretty shitty to not even have a route from San Jose to San Fran, and say, "Oh, well, you can take care of that yourself." That kinda defeats the purpose of the $30 in savings.

That was up a while ago.

I laugh, because the ex booked a flight back to Paris using Orbitz and got fucked out of her $800 flight. It was a mess. She ended up having to buy a $1200 direct flight back to Charles De Gaul. So, out $2000 for a trip home at Christmas. I kinda felt for her at the time. But now I see Orbitz as a great Karmic being.
