Judging from the reviews I've read of Land of the Dead, I think that they are in the same world.

When I watched the three in a row, they seemed to build upon one another. In Night, it just started. In Dawn it was becoming rampant. In Day they were running for their lives and the zombies were evolving. In Land, it seems that the humans are left only in one place and the zombies have really evolved.
