I was going to link to a PvP where Scott Kurtz talks about some of the drawing requests he got at one or another con, but I can't find it...

You'll have a great time. I went there last year expecting one of these thrown together local conventions that I've atteneded a few times before in other parts of the country.

Oh no, this is the real thing. Not just comics. There's a also a bunch of movie and TV talent there. And it's freakin' huge and located in beautiful downtown San Diego.

While there last year, I "won" a lame "signed" poster from Buffy the Vampire Slayer last year for her new movie The Grudge (gave it to a friend who cared). Also got to hear Robert Rodriguez talk about Sin City. Overall, the highlight for me was listening to the South Park guys and seeing their movie clip.

well it was awesome. I'm compiling my convention report now and it shoudl be up in 2 or 3 days with photos of dressed up idiots, long lines for porn stars, and general wackiness so stop by the NYXXUnderground.com and take a look
