Google Earth is cooler than the coolest thing ever. Every school should have this on any computer in any field remotely related to having a map.

I can find out interesting things, too. How many of the non-Canucks here know what Canada's capital is? I would have gotten this wrong like a shot five minutes ago.

Well, I suppose I proved what was going to be a point about U.S. ignorance of Canada twice over, then.

Honestly, this is a poor sample of people to test for ignorance in any form. Overall, the people on this board are educated and capable of looking shit up.

Now, ask this question to a bunch of southern Republican USA citizens who think the internet is the lining in their swim trunks, then we'll get some diversity in answers :)

I suspect people have been looking it up, or something.

Either that or I'm just a geography special ed case, which I'll admit is quite possible.

Nah, I knew it. Weird stuff like that is buried in some layer in my brain that pops up when it's needed. I suppose that's the point of memorization like that, though I kinda think that I wouldn't have got it if it wasn't multiple choice.

South American capitals are a bit more hazy.

Refresher

Brazil - Brasilia
Argentina - Buenos Aires
Venezuala - Caracas
Peru - Lima
Columbia - Bogota
Chile - Santiago
Bolivia - La Paz

Central American:

Honduras - Tegucigalpa
El Salvador - San Salvador
Nicuragua - Managua
Costa Rica - San Jose
Panama - Panama City

Speaking of Central America, I am going to Honduras for the Winter break in December, I'll be making a couple of stop offs as well, one in Toronto (only a short one, I probably won't leave the airport) and one in Miami.

Well I know I couldn't name all the States capitols. The one that sticks in my frikin head is Bemidji, ND. Who can forget that?

Ask me about European countries, Africa or Asia and I'm screwed. I know the big ones, but the lesser known countries elude me. Not that I'm really concerned. I'm not planning a trip to Djibouti any time soon.
