How many people here would be willing to join me in the statement that a set of software-emulated floating point routines, on a processor implemented without native floating point support, is almost useless without a function to convert your float type to an integer?
Every version of BREW running on every phone out there does not have one. Qualcomm finally put one in with BREW 3.1, which is almost completely useless because most people (us included) aren't developing with 3.1 and only phones in mind, because the market penetration of 1.1 and 2.x devices is so great. I actually am not even sure there are any 3.1 phones that are even being sold at present. For most apps, my opinion is that it might be economically viable to develop for only 3.1 and later in, say, ten years, but not any @#@% time soon.
I want to find the guy who didn't put this in the BREW 1.0 spec and kill him, so that he will never unleash his 'tard design spec skills on the world again.
