Thank goodness, they signed Joe

Joe Thornton and the Boston Bruins agreed on a three-year deal.

*huge sigh of relief*

Brian Leetch is all well and good, re-signing Glen Murray was okay, and I'm glad Samsonov is around for at least one more year - but the B's weren't going anywhere without Jumbo Joe.

Now if they can just get the freaking goalie back in the fold, I'll *really* be looking forward to hockey season. (Not that I wasn't already.)

Another Bruins fan here? Sweet!

Yeah, I'm hugely pleased that they worked out a deal with the Big Man. Murray, Lapointe, Samsonov and Leetch, Axelson are all good but the B's are Joe. Just like they used to be Bourque, and Orr before him.

Hehe, we've had around four or five conversations previously where we've commiserated on our shared love of the B's. You need to work on your memory a bit. ;)

And in other sports news, football football FOOTBALL! Time for me to start watching the Pats again! Yay!

B is for Blues. Even though we aren't making nearly as many ripples in the FA pool as other teams, we're getting some good guys. We're still fishing. Teemu Selanne would be a great fit and a cheap add. Suit him up with Walt and Weight and we've got a great first line. Dean McAmmond was a great move as well, but we need more scoring than a 15 Goal guy. We are solid on D, even with the loss of Pronger, Brewer is young and a good all around D man, just has to learn to keep his stick on the ice.

The Fantasy Lines.

Drake Mayers Bogineki

Hey, that's NOTHING! Leaf fans have BOTH Lindros AND Allison to cheer for this year!

In unrelated news, there seems to be a hiring blitz for EMS personnel over by the Air Canada Centre now.....
