<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>The old rule of thumb I always heard when deciding the size of your virtual memory was to make it 1.5x the size of your physical memory. That was all well and good when I had 512meg...but do I really need 1.5GIG of hard drive space set aside for physical memory?
What do you all set yours to?</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Times New Roman"; text-align: left; '>around 300-400MB. No need for more. That 1.5 rule is antiquated.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>I've had 640 for a long time...upped it to 900 guess I should roll it down a bit :) I thought that rule was outdated but haven't heard a better one to go by</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>The rule of thumb is to have enough memory to not use virtual memory. Ditch it! You have a fucking GIG of memory. You don't need any more, virtual or otherwise.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>You shouldn't have ANY dumping! Any game that uses a GIG of fucking memory is a waste of code and should be properly disposed of, deleted, and the box burned. Seriously, disable the virtual memory!</div>
