The Shrine

They are using some or another machine to do what looks like whisking concrete away from the sides of the building. It looks like an eggbeater, but sounds like ten dental drills.

It is like a corps of small demons, jostling for position in my aural cavity while screaming "We make holes in ears!"

MSD (the sewer district) is going through a big project to get some ditchs digged on the front and back part of most of the houses over here, to get us out of the flood plain. I got a feeling that I'm going to be victim of contruction noise here pretty soon.
