Hi Folks,

I know that there are a few software people here and I'm looking for a couple of people to join my group at my company. Since it's so difficult finding good people, and solid resumes are coming in slow, I figure it couldn't hurt to see if anyone here knows anyone good who might be looking (I said GOOD goddamit). The job descriptions are here

http://www.craigslist.com/sby/sof/101065468.html
http://www.craigslist.com/sby/eng/101066140.html

Basically the same descriptions, only one requires Mandarin Chinese fluency and one doesn't. We are based in Silicon Valley and deal with real time location based services.

Regards,
Alan

shitters, I made a mistake on the job listing. For

speaking foreign languages is not a requirement but a plus. I already made the edit on craigslist, but it looks like it will take a day to update.

Since they have you as an employee, then the only position I could possibly accept is CEO. Don't worry though...I'd only charge you half price for tap water on the days you mowed my lawn since we have so much history together. I'm not heartless.

Anyway, I'll keep this position in mind. I don't know anyone available (most of the good people are employed...go figure!), but I'll let you know if someone solid becomes available. BTW, are those Bay Area housing prices still as insane as I remember them? (back in 01).

I unfortunately do not know anyone I'd recommend with that skillset, and I'm pretty well spoken for, but it sounds like a very neat position. I'm not just saying that, either - if I weren't in gaming it sounds like something I would love to look into.
