<div style='font: 12pt Arial; text-align: left; '>I'm a CMIS (Information Systems) major. I will be graduating in Dec. of this year. I have been offered an assistanceship at the school I currently attend (full-ride plus a *fairly small* monthly stipend). I'm wondering now whether I should get my masters or whether I should simply take my chances in the job market... and if I do go for a masters, I need to decide what in, a Masters of Science in CMIS or an MBA in Information Systems. The MS route would take me a year and a half, the MBA route, only a year. I do enjoy school (I do very well in school) and I like my job (it will turn into an assistanceship position if I go to grad school) which involves helping out kids from underpriveledged areas make it though school. BUT I am fairly SICK of attending classes, studying all the time and living like a welfare recipient. Now, for those of you out in my field right now, is a masters really worth all that much (unless you want to teach)? Is getting your MBA right out of school really a bad thing? Hopefully somebody out there can provide me with some insight.</div>

<div style='font: ; text-align: left; '>Why do you assume you won't be living like a welfare recepient after you graduate while trying to look for a job? If you have a good job lined up (like Lox) and are sick of school, then the choice is easy. But you don't right now.</div>
