Anything cool there to do? I'll be with the girlfriend and two of her friends.

BC? Lots of cool things to do in that case...depends. Hit me up on MSN (in profile) and I can suggest some places, clubs (+vip), etc...depending on what you are looking to do.

The two friends....they hot? :)

Hockey, ice cutting, snow shoeing, skiing, seal clubbing, you know, the typical Canadian stuff =P

Seriously though, I think you'll be as shocked about Canada as G-man was when he went to Toronto. He said something along the lines as it felt like he was stepping 25 years into the future =P

Not sure, never met them. Talked to one of them over the phone before, she's nice but she got me in trouble with the other friend. Natsumi tells me I'll have a total of 4 girlfriends when these two and her other friend from japan are around, but I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Quiet sit down bars or wine restaurants would be preferable since one of them doesn't drink very often.

Well then 25 years into the future sounds kinda nice. I'm excited about the possibility of going.

Vancouver is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in this country, so go and check out the standard sights and Victoria Island. With Kali's help, you'll find the rest.

If it was a bit later, I'd say go to Whistler and ski :-)

Vancouver Island you mean. Victoria (where I used to live) just happens to be on the Island, it is the provincial Capital. I really love it there.

Sounds like you are after a relaxing/sight-seeing/casual kinda experience then. Well, since I don't know all the details (budget, location, time, etc. fill me in on MSN/email) I'll give ya some general suggestions:

Food: Couple of good Tapas/bars along the davie street stretch (gay area) that are well priced, lively and quality. Bin941 (Dave & Howe) is a good place for light apps and drinks but crowded. Copones is in Yaletown and has drinks and awesome colzones/table pizza (reservation a good idea). For a more "commercial" place, you could hit Robson street (kinda the busy shopping area), Milestones is a favorite for me, but there are also a number of awesome underground sushi bars. Got some cash to Burn? Le Crocodile is amazing for french food (downtown, off robson). Tojo's is a famous japanese resteraunt on Broadway (5-10 minutes out of the downtown core). Reservations for both too are best.

Drinks: Sky Bar is way down at the end of Davie street. Small lounge down in the bay. Crime Lab is near there for martinis too, a tad more pricey and small though...but better selection. Yaletown Brewery is sorta like a big sprots bar, but tons of beers to choose from, in a great area and a good hangout. Global is in Yaletown too and serves some decent food. Also has After-Glo in the back which is kinda the bar section (really good drinks).

Clubs: I'm not as young as I used to be :) Only definate VIP I can throw you on via phone is BarNone in Yaletown. Celebreties is the big gay club on Davie and usually a great time. Granville street is the main club strip, both Plaza and Caprice are probably the best, depends on the night.

Sight-seeing: Being very general here since I'm not sure when you are coming. Stanley Park. Huge place, very pretty. Right downtown. If the weather is decent, take a bike ride through it or along the seawall. Whistler/village. Nice place, a little pricey. If the time it takes to get out there isn't an issue, you should go (especially if the runs are open). Yaletown. Nice area in downtown, probably where you'd want to do most of your "hanging out". Granville Island. Just across the water from downtown ($2 ride)....kinda picture one big local craft and food fair and you'll be close. Robson. Commercial shopping district. Capilano suspension/park. Pretty area, worth checking out if you are headed up to one of the local mountains anyway. Gastown and China Town. Both are great for a number of reasons (cheap hidden shopping, cool districts) but I should include a warning. Both border Hastings street...not the nicest area downtown or somewhere you want to take 3 girls. It's not dangerous or anything, especially not during the day...but you'll get harrassed for change, offered drugs and see plenty of sad/scary people. Bad vibe so know where you are going/avoiding before hand.
