My little brother introduced me to his more famous comedy CD today. He was a FUNNY, funny guy...I didn't know just how good he was until listening to him.

(on the night a CD was being recorded of the performance) "This CD will be in stores. The only way I could get my previous CD in stores was if I would take it in there, and leave it. 'Sir, you forgot your CD.' 'No, I did not...that CD is for sale.'"

"Thirteen is an unlucky number, right? Then so should the letter B be, because B looks like a scrunched up thirteen. 'Hello, what is your name?' Bob.' 'Get the fuck away!'"

And he actually did one-liners, which are almost dead in stand-up these days. Honestly, everyone here ought to give him a chance. His comedy is very accessible; I think he's the "cleanest" comedian I've ever really, really liked.

I brought a donut and the guy gave me a recieipt for the donut. I don't need a receipt for the donut, I give you the money, you give me the donut, end of transaction. We do not need to bring ink and paper into this.

Hehe...he was a great comedian. We have a DVD of one of his performances...and we've seen him live on the Comedy Central Tour.

I've only heard two CDs of Mitch but already he's tied with Lewis Black as my favorite comic. I liked his how most of his jokes were mostly one liners or really short stories with little or no segues. One of the better ways I've heard him described was that he's like Steven Wright, but a little more modern.

I found out him through my friends earlier this year. They had the Strategic Grill Locations and Mitch All Together albums in their computer. His death struck me pretty hard because I had discovered his work only days before.

Bad year for comedians dying, I guess. Richard Pryor died on Saturday - I just now heard about it...though, thank God, he at least got to finish his career in his lifetime.

My god. I have to listen to his CD in spurts, because otherwise I laugh too hard. I'd either pull a muscle or die of a heart attack. And this is recorded! He must have just been utterly amazing live.

Pryor died? Damn, that sucks, but I guess he was getting pretty old. I hate it when a lot of these good comedians die early, like Bill and Mitch.
