I saw a TV spot for Transformers, and it looks very much sweet. It is now one of the few movies I *want* to see this summer. The part where Starscream turned into a jet and took off from ground level was insane.

I can only conclude that you have contracted a fever of some kind, and/or are on the drugs. Please reassure me of your mental sanity and fitness to judge film.

You made this post with the intentions of it being ironic didn't you?

Looks can be deceiving dude, just because it looks promising doesn't mean it's not gonna suck something awful. :)

Also doesn't mean it IS deceiving you and it will be awful...give the damned thing a chance.

We've been over this with Zeus-- he's afraid of anyone disturbing his childhood memories because then they might resurface the incident with his uncle Margaret in the basement when he was 10.

Wow, Eric actually supporting me. There's a new one :-)

Lots of awesome-lookin' movies have turned into complete crap. I have never really bitched out the aesthetics of the film but always the storyline and the destruction of the source material.

Lots of Bay's movies look good, only The Rock was good.

I've pretty much said everything I'm gonna say on this subject. I'm sure everyone here is sick of me bitching about it anyways. I'll check out the film when I can for free and unless I find it to be the best thing since sliced bread, I won't bother posting my impressions.

Actually, I don't really post my impressions of any film I see anymore. The only time I give my opinion on movies now is when others ask for opinion, like with Sine's documentary post last week.

As we all know, I am always wrong :-)

Exactly!

And, for what it's worth, I enjoyed Spider-Man 3...

That's just cause you're hella emo and shit, Venom's Peter Parker must've been like a digital mirror for ya.

I actually didn't mind it either, even though it was the weakest of the three.

I like the editing on the quote :-)

The emo-osity is the only part of the movies that I dislike, in fact, but I was a whiny teen dramatist at one point too and I understand how it makes teenagers feel better about their lives. Topher Grace was the wrong person to play Venom, but whatever, it was an enjoyable flick. Summer film doesn't have to be high art.
