D12 founder Proof shot and killed (like a week ago)

I can't believe I didn't hear of it right away. I just happened to catch the news saying that the guy he was in a fight with just died of his injuries in hospital.

I've had my head buried in essays for the past two weeks. So much so that this website and IGN have been my biggest news sources during that time period =)
Anyways, I see this as a rather tragic end, as well as unfortunate. Deaths like this shouldn't happen. The last thing I remember hearing about D12 was under a month ago,that they were going to start work on a new album project.

That's ass. I wonder what the nominal cause was in the mind of the guy who did it. Wasn't Proof the one who was just a ridiculously skilled freestylist?

Damn, rappers getting shot to death? That's almost as surprising as NASCAR drivers getting into fatal car wrecks.
