My friend and I sat around one day trying to figure out how to cast something like this. We thought either Hugh Jackman or Christian Bale would be awesome as Snake. Maybe later I'll dig up the rest of it and get our choices...

Oh! and The Rock should totally be Vulcan Raven. :D

Too bad Clint Eastwood is way too fucking old now, he would have been a great actor for an older Snake as seen in the MGS4 trailer.

Clint Eastwood? Try Kurt Russell, the original Snake =)

I am not sure if he is too old yet, he hasn't seemed to have aged since sometime in the 70's. He looks almost the same now as he did in the Thing.

I could handle Kurt Russel as an older Snake.

For the younger snake, I could definitely see Hugh Jackman in the role. He's got the voice and the look and the acting ability.

Hmmmmm, yeah, you're right, the two would compliment each other well, I think.

I would REALLY prefer a full-blown CGI with Hayter as the voice myself. But yeah, Jackman could do it, but he's Wolverine....

I'd rather they cast an unknown. Snake is enough of a character on his own and I don't like the baggage a big-time actor would bring. They're want to "make the character their own" or some shit like that. Kojima did a great job of that, just play the part.

Heh, this reminds me of casting discussions my friends and I would have in high schhool.

I always thought Kurt Russel would make a good Snake, since it seems the character seems kind of based on Snake Plissken. I always pictured as an older, more experienced soldier anyway. David Hayterr would be great, too. He looks like Snake, and he pretty much has the character down pat. He just needs to beef up a little and possibly work on his on-screen acting skills.

And Martin Sheen should definitely play Campbell.

Probably stuck in development hell like most other game flicks that look like they could actually be good. Likely a Konami vs Hollywood battle where some idiot executive and/or producer are trying to force formulaic elements into a Metal Gear story with Kojima sayin' "fuck that shit. I already made a movie so you're gonna do it my way or the highway"
