DCAU = DC Comics Animated Universe.

And honestly, I'm a little starved.

There has always been a series running since 1992 with the first Batman Animated Series, and now there's like nothing, there's less then nothing. WRU Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, I miss your work. :(

after the travesty that was superman :Brainiac attacks movie Bruce Timm and Paul Dini are returning to the animated univers. you can expect around 7 full length movies a year over the next few years involving every single one of their series'. cartoon network dropped the rights to all of them due to not wanting to pay royalties to show them so there will be only movies from now on and a very child oriented superboy and the legion of superheroes cartoon as well which only a few of the timm DCU production team are working on. It'ss be more teen titans than JLU. However one of the things coming out soon is Bruce Timm adapting DC: The new fronteir into animation which will actually follow the art designs from darwyn cooke instead of the animated DCU. It will be a great timm project (and mature one) but it won't be part of the animated DCU. However all the movies coming in the future other than that will be.

and if you like paul dini's writing he's taking over batman : Detective comics in july as the ongoing writer. and the animated batman is pretty much the character batman has moved too which is a nice feeling instead of insane creepy annoying frank miller batman which they wanted to move away from.
