Anyone seen this anime series?

Just finished it, and it was better than I was expecting. A friend recommended it as a joke (I think) because its very gory, and this becomes apparent like 2 minutes into the first episode.

Its about a new race(species?) called the Diclonians who sport horns...and super long invisible extra arms. Their only purpose is to destroy the human race. Yeah I know, sounds stupid.

There is a MASSIVE amount of blood and gore, but not stupid overdramatic spewing like Fist of the North Star. There is also a lot of nudity and some awkward moments, but this anime turned out to be really good.

It IS dark and kinda disturbing(depending on your sensitivity about stuff), but well worth watching. Only 13 episodes.

And I cried at the end

I also really liked it. In such a short anime it is surprising that they could make me feel for the characters so well, the ending was perfect. I'm trying to find more adult oriented anime due to it.

Oh yeah, and the opening theme is the best i've heard in an anime yet.

I downloaded it, but I haven't watched any episodes yet, just skimmed through the first two to see what it looked like. GORE!

I loved Elfen Lied...very dark and gory. I guess I was getting sick of watching happy silly stuff.

If you liked this-- DEFINITELY watch Gantz. That one I loved even more...my favorite recent anime. Very gory, some nudity, and it's got a pretty interesting story.
