Apocolypto (no spoilers)

Thumbs up on this one. Not sure that I've ever seen a Hollywood adaptation of any ancient South American Indian civilization, so there's nothing really to compare this to.

In some ways, it's almost like National Geographic went back in time and filmed the life of the main guy (Jaguar Paw) and created a story around him.

Anyway, it's worth 10 bucks.

Quite honestly, I'm a bit skeptical because of Mel's recent antics but this does look like a decent film. Is it english dub or subtitled? I would assume it would be subbed but I could be wrong.

Say what you will about Mel, but the guy knows how to make a bloody period peice. You can buy ticket for another movie and sneak into this one if you don't want to support him. It's worth a go on the big screen.
