I can't watch it at work, so I have to wait 'til I get home. I was out last night so I didn't get the chance. You know, that thing where you put on articles of clothing called a "jacket" (over your shirt; think of it like a big shirt that keeps you warm, you'll find out later why you need to be warm) and "shoes" (stuff on your feet that goes over your socks; got a hard bottom and provides extra protection and warmth, kinda like a jacket for your feet), use that large, rectangular-shaped wooden thing at the edge of you house called a "door" (just FYI, about half way down the "door" on one of the sides there's a round or straight object called a "handle"; fiddle with it and you'll discover magic :-), then, through sheer willpower and sense of adventure, venture through the opening created by the "door" (after using the "handle") into the vast, seemingly endless area called "outside" or "outdoors". Being in the "outdoors" or "outside" is what is commonly referred to as "going out". What happens when you "go out" I'll leave to your imagination :-)

Look it up on Wikipedia, you'll discover a whole new world :-)

What the fuck is Speilburg doing? Did he pick that nutjob to direct? I had no idea Steven had a hand in this.

Obviously, this movie doesn't look like any of the "friendly" versions we grew up with. I imagine if Michael Bay made a GI Joe movie, it would look like Apocolyse Now. What's next? My Little Pony: Cradle to the Grave? Carebears: Elite Tactical Unit? Smurfs: Army of Many? The "Days of Thunder" remake of Speed Racer?

Pearl Harbor still sucks.

I'm actually impressed. They might succeed in turning a silly cartoon series whose primary purpose was to promote a toy line into a dark action movie.

Then again, it is just a trailer. And trailers can lie.

Yeah, it was solely to sell toys, but it was still a fun show for us 8- and 9- year olds growing up and the toys kicked all kinds of ass

I saw the trailer finally. It's so different than the show I'll reserve final judgement 'til later. It's Transformers in name and a few plot points only from what I can see in the trailer. I'm not so sure I'll like the apocolyptic aspect of the film (that's where it seems to be going from the trailer), but like Kupek said, trailers can lie.

But 'cause Bay's doing it, I still don't have too much faith. Speilberg regained a lot of respect with Munich from me, but he's just producing.

Then there's this one, which made a movie look dramatic, dark and well paced.

The king is still the Shining Romantic Comedy recut, which is on iFilm and Flip linked. That one was amazingly well done. I've had that one my HD for a year or two and I still watch it every now and then
