It was a pathetic excuse for a rehash of the Sound 5 event, and it lacked any and all of the pressure, hard decisions, and chaotic fights that went down.

I cant wait for it to start, and yeah the last filler was BAD. I mean think about how badly they portrayed Gaara, they made him into a wimp.

Most of part 2 is filler too anyway. I've seen nothing that advances the plot besides when they meet with Sasuke again.

Garaa is useless in part 2. If power level is transitive, Sakura could be defeating 2 Garaas at once now (but maybe that makes Eric happy).
