So, what do you guys still think about this show? The first 7 eps (up until the end of the Gaara-Deidera fight) was painfully slow. It really feels like they're milking the series big-time right now. In the past when you had 2+ chapters of the manga for each ep (hence they're catch up and insanely long and painful filler), it feels like they're doing 2 eps for each manga now (I don't read the manga, I'm going on what I hear/read). I don't know if that's the case, but it really does feel like they're stretching it. I like the story and where they're going but I don't like it taking forever to do ANYTHING. Heck, I'm amazing they made it to the Sand village in ep 10.

Not really complaining as I've gotten back into it much more now that we're back to the real story, but the pace is really slow and it's frustrating. It's picked up ever so slightly in the last couple of eps but it's nothing like the hectic pace that made the show crack-cocaine before the filler started. They need to just get to it already.

This is not a waiting-between-eps thing, it's the pace of the show that's irritating.

Yeah, it's painfully slow right now. Though, I think it really always was that way.

It's more like 1 episode per manga right now, so that they don't catch up with the manga again. DB illustrated how fast it would be in "real-time" with the manga (see one of the last YHBTs), in a 3:1 manga:episode ratio. It was blindly fast. Too fast.

The only reason why it's slow is because it's only 20 minutes a week. I already gave up with Bleach on CN, and just downloaded the episodes a while back. Watched two sagas of it, and stopped because I knew that the next one was probably going to be a huge saga that I couldn't finish. (We were getting too caught up with the current episodes.)
