The story of the life and death and funeral of Hunter S. Thompson, told by those who knew him, and a few who didn't, and largely by himself, through word, thought and action.

If ever there existed a more free soul, Hunter was it. I behoove you all to watch this movie (documentary) to quite better understand the man who did so much more than just Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

The Great Shark Hunt is a good collection of his articles. Also, have you read Fear and Loathing? Though there was a few missing sections in the movie and it seems like the movie was an acid trip of the book itself (famous lines moved around to other sections of the story), it shows how well done the movie was put together.

The guy was born in Louisville, too, so he's a bit of a local anti-hero here.
