It's the TV movie that's supposed to be running on Nov 24 with some screenings in New York on the 12th.

Lotus, if I had an FTP I'd share it with you. But I don't anymore. Don't know what to say....keep trying?

No shit, it's been leaked already??? Maybe DTV has the schedule already setup so I can just set the DVR to record it.

Yeah, I was shocked to see it. It came out on Thursday but I didn't see it 'til Saturday. We watched it Saturday night after hockey.

Honestly, I was underwhelmed. The third season just hung on for me, I really hope they don't jump the shark in Season 4

They wouldn't jump the shark on the fourth season. This is their last season, so they will go out like a bang. A limited season series rarely "jumps the shark".

They were warming up the motorbike in Season 3 before Gaius begged The Fonz to get off in the least three eps.....

Not to mention Dead Like Me lasted all of 16 eps before it jumped with the spontaneous combustion episode. That's gotta be some kind of record

Review: Double-Plus Good!

Maybe it's just because I haven't seen BSG in months, but I really liked it, except....

(SPOILARS)

That shit at the end on the Cylon base with "are you god?" and "Kara Thrase will lead humanity to it's destruction" jizz.

I was actually highly disappointed with the direction of the film, it was more of a "hey, we can make a movie during this timeline and suck ever more money out of our fans" rather than being a nice segway between Seasons 3 and 4. The stuff in your spoiler was the only part that fit that

How are they sucking money out of you?

Me? They're not. But it is coming out on DVD on Dec 12. How do you think we were able to d'load it?

Oh it's coming out on DVD? So that thing I watched called a DVD screener was ripped from a DVD? NO WAY!

My point was that you're not going to buy it anyway, so quit yer bitchin. I reckon fans of BSG are all pretty comp savvy, so after downloading it and watching it if they want to own it on DVD, that's their choice.

Hahaha, nice catch, BL.

You probably want to save your righteous indignation for when you're not stealing content, Zeus :).

I probably will get it on DVD along with the series once they go down to a reasonable price.

If I like something I download I will end up buying it

Make sure you buy it used so you can SEND A MESSAGE to those fatcats in Hollywood....

Alright, I'm finished now.

I buy 95% used :-)

But if one of big box stores (Walmart, Futureshop, Best Buy) is dumping, I'll pick them up new. I did that with Oz when they dropped to $20 each. Cheaper than buying used. Best part about that is, Best Buy and Futureshop will price match any competitor and give you an extra 10% off the difference....even when compared to each other's prices even though Best Buy owns Futureshop. That's how I was able to get 5 seasons of Oz (already got the 4th one used) for $82+tax (Futureshop had them for $20 while Best Buy had them at the original prices of $53-$76).

To finish off my thoughts on this subject, every time you buy/don't buy the product, you're sending a message. It's almost like a vote (and carries about the same weight), especially for something like going to see a movie in the theatre. If it's worth it new (or in the theatre), I'll spend the money. If not, I'll either wait for used or for a price drop or not buy at all (or for DVD or satellite for movies). I specifically purchased Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and the Mega Man remakes for PSP new because I want to encourage the companies to do more of that. I could easily have purchased used and saved 20-25% likely before I even had a chance to play them but I want to see more of them. Can't do that if I ain't buyin' new. Same with a lot of DVDs or box sets (got the Alien Quadrilogy new). Heck, I had the Sicko screener on my harddrive for almost 3 weeks before I went to the theatre and watched it (before I saw the screener). The screener was for subsequent watchings while I wait for the DVD to come out.

I'm not one of those people who pirates without being a consumer. I spend my money on what I think is worth it and if I still really want it and it's available, I'll grab a copy for personal use. I just feel that a lot of prices are very bloated (even EA agrees with me) and I'm not willing to spend that much money on the stuff. When I get it for the price I want, I buy. And I buy often (I have almost 2000 games and 650+ movies and 100+ box sets). If I wanted to, I could pirate basically everything I've ever purchased but I don't think that's right. If it's worth the money, I think you should pay for it.

I know it's a subjective thing and is a grey area in terms of morality, but those are my views and I'm comfortable with it.

The satellite thing is different because I'm punishing, in my way, predatory companies who try to screw people every chance they get.

I'm finished now

Can I just come in here and throw my two sense in that BSG is an overhyped boring scifi drama? I couldn't finish watching season 2 it dragged SOOO much... I'd rather watch DBZ at that rate ;)

*ducks and runs*
