New Nightwish

Nightwish has been something of a topic of late, considering they've finally released their first post-Tarja album--and the world is SPLIT.
Anyone here big Nightwish fans? You should check their new stuff on Youtube. They have a song that's, effectively, a big "fuck you bitch" to Tarja. It's pretty interesting, and--to be honest--their sound now is fresher than it has been for quite awhile. The guitarist is getting more vocal time too--and he has a surprisingly good voice. The new singer is definately of a different style, but that's not a bad thing neccessarily--she can keep up with the faster medley bits much smoother than Tarja can.
I don't know how well their more operatic songs will fare with the new girl, but all of their new stuff seems REALLY invigorated--you can tell from the songs and the sound that they are just really glad to be back and doing what they've always wanted to do. The band's much more liberated, and it shows.
While I hated it at first, I'm really beginning to get into this "new" Nightwish. I reccomend you guys look into their new album, Dark Passion Play, even if you've never heard any of them before. Better yet, compare their Tarja, post-Tarja videos on Youtube and tell me which you prefer.
