That's the second time an author has come out to say a Fincher film is an awesome movie based on their book. The first was the Fight Club guy.

Odd, considering the end was changed in Fight Club, though the movie was better than the book by many people's accounts.

Sensible authors recognise that film is a medium entirely apart from literature, and needs to be treated differently. John le Carré loved the film adaption of The Constant Gardener, apparently, even though it is very different to the book (both the film and book are great, by the way, even if incredibly depressing and anger-inducing).

Including the author himself
