Wonder if they are starting with the first season. How will it be edited? Will Showtime still air it? Questions questions....

Yeah they're airing it because of the writer's strike.

All cursing will be removed, as well as some instances of gore.

It's still Showtime's baby and will be back for Season 3...eventually.

Yeah this is what I was mis-told-- friend heard this announcement and thought it was for Season 3 on Showtime.

I found it interesting actually-- they won't have swearing in this version, but that's because they taped 2 versions of the shows: one with swears and one without so it's not like they'll be bleeping them or something.

I'll have to force my non-believer friends to watch it.

No swearing for Debra? Actually, the amount of swearing she does gets on my nerves. Half the time it's like she's swearing just to swear.

I hope they don't butcher the show too much.

They almost have to. Body parts, and every scene with his victim always has a bunch of gore. Not to mention the origin story, which takes place in a sea of blood. The censorship will be truly awesome!

Why CBS? Isn't that the domain of old people shows? They could have picked another show from HBO/Showtime, but I'm not sure what. (Californication? Too much sex. Weeds? Ha! Rome, no. Carnivale? Maybe, but people would demand another season.)

BTW, Dead Like Me is already in syndication, and I think there are a few other HBO/Showtime shows (Six Feet Under) in various channels, too.

The show doesn't by any stretch rely on swearing or gore, but to cut it out is silly. It'll be distracting. If you're gonna watch the show, but it on DVD or d'load it so you can see what it's supposed to be like.

Because it went downhill FAST. I mean bullet speed. It was great for about the first 10 episodes of the first season then started to slip near the end. By the fifth or so episode of Season 2 when that spontaneous combustion episode happened, it had completely jumped the shark. I mean way over the top, it was fucking silly. I couldn't even finish season 2, I think I stopped the ep after the combustion. And I really loved it for most of the first season
