I hated Blair Witch so much the first time it surprised me. I actually went to the theatres to see it again just in case I was in a bad mood or didn't get it or missed something. Nope, it was even worse the second time.

I'll download this one. Aside from MI:3, which was pretty decent, Abrams hasn't proven that he's capable of going beyond the conception stage with his ideas.

I saw it--it's actually pretty good. I can't say it's terribly ground-breaking or revolutionary, but there are some parts that'll freak you out quite well, and the shaky cam thing added a nice element to an otherwise generic monster movie.

The biggest appeal of the story I guess is it's elusiveness. It's a movie that has secrets, and those secrets are not overtly revealed.

yeah, a pal of mine had to leave the movie and miss some of the ending and did some literal barfing. When my girlfriend relayed the information to me, I thought she was joking, alas she was not.

I thought this was funny.
I'm not so sure it was the camera that was making them hurl, it was likely the Abrams-ified plot and direction :-)

My sister and cousins (all in early 20s) saw this flick and they HATED it. Not exactly a push for me to see it right there considering they're the target audience.
